Super easy to re-new my drivers license for Real ID!! Made an online appt, then checked in with text message, wait was only about 5 min to see someone at the counter. Paid the $40 ish fee, did the vision test which was simple and easy. Customer service rep was knowledgeable and nice-3 no stank attitudes like so many MD agencies now employ. It was a positive experience overall!

Wow. Never did I think I would have a positive experience at MVA. Much less one I would like to take the time to write about. I went to get my eye exam and renew my license today. The employees were so nice and welcoming and the entire process took maybe 10- 15 minutes. If you have to go to MVA for anything I highly recommend this location!

I had a fabulous experience renewing my license-without an appointment-on the last Tuesday of the month, no less. I didn't get to sit down as my number was on the screen as soon as I got it. I needed an eye exam, got my photo taken and paid all at desk #1 with help from a lovely, helpful lady. I was done in under 30 minutes. Just go there.

Since I know everybody loves going to the MVA and waiting in line like most government institutions this location actually makes the process somewhat enjoyable. I love the kiosk that you can handle your license and registration anytime this makes things much simpler If you don't like waiting around in line and like using automatic kiosk I highly recommend this location

I had an appointment at 11:30 am today, Wednesday August 9th 2023 and was directed to counter 4. After everything and was ready to pay, I asked if my picture could be changed and she said it was too late. She did not show the picture to me after taking it. I saw the survey on the screen and she quickly took it off without asking me take it. I believe everyone should be equally respected and treated right irrespective of our color, race, physical appearance etc. Thank you

(Appointment was 12:30 PM on a Monday) I recently lost my wallet and needed to replace my license (I had already done the updated license where you needed all the paperwork again) However online stated I would need to go into a location but didn't provide a reason. I made an appointment online which was easy and you can pick from different locations and they share the dates/times at all locations throughout Maryland. I had previously made an appointment at another location but needed to cancel and reschedule. I was able to find this appointment same day (made appointment around 9:30 AM for a 12:30 PM appointment). I recieved a text confirming appointment place and time shortly after. This location is in a Plaza with alot of other businesses and is near the YMCA as well. Parking near the MVA was definitely more full than other areas in the Plaza. All handicap spots infront of building were occupied, we ended up parking more infront of the YMCA but it still is a short and manageable walk. Open entering I did get a strong smell of weed but otherwise it was clean. There were numerous signs directing you based on what you were there for. There are numerous kiosk that can be used for non appointment items which are listed online. There was a short wait for the front desk check-in but just asked me to open the text confirmation and check in there. I arrived around 12:25 for the 12:30 appointment and was given a wait time of around 5 minutes. There were a ton of available seats and only a few others waiting. You could see and hear numbers displayed on several different TV screens visible from the seating area, also received updates via text just prior to my number being called. This was the fastest I have ever been seen at a MVA as I was called within that 5 minute window. The worker was friendly and courteous. They are behind a clear plexiglass screen and mask are no longer required. However many people did still have on mask. Hand sanitizer was available on the customer's side of the plexiglass. She did ask if I brought all my paperwork but I had mentioned that I had done this previously but was unsure of the actual reason I needed to come in instead of receiving a replacement DL in the mail as it was not expired. In the end they just needed an updated photo and in total probably took less than 5 minutes. I was also dropping off the paperwork for a new temp handicap parking placards (temp require renewal every 6 months with forms filled by your provider) There was an issue with my providers medical licensure showing up expired even though it was not. I had to call my provider while I was working with the MVA worker and also verified it was not expired on the Maryland State Board of Nursing (provider is a Nurse Practitioner). The worker asked me to go back to the waiting area while she worked on the issue. In total I'd say this took around 20 minutes but we they finally figured out the issue on their end. I was able to walk out with the two placards in hand as oppose to waiting 7-10 business days in the mail. I will say the heat in the building was blasting and it did make it uncomfortable at times. Overall even with the small handicap parking hiccup it was a fast and enjoyable experience which is something I would never expect to say at the MVA. I would definitely return to this location and use the appointment feature again.
